Pedicure!

Went for pedicure session at Nail Palace after work today with YiTing. Well I'm on a budget recently and I am not going to spend money on such things. I was just using up my package sessions which I signed previously. It felt good to pamper myself once in a while. Now my feet is smooth again with the dead cells gone. And I really really <3 my toenail colour.

Under white florescent lightning....
Without flash.

With flash,

The nail colour is Snowcone from the brand Orly. Actually other than the most famous OPI nail polish there are many other brands that nail places use. I really heart this colour! It is a sweet blue with a slight purplish undertone. I am tempted to buy a bottle of this home! And I Googled it and found a very cool and interesting blog entry on the Orly Snowcone (Link -  http://beautopia.onsugar.com/Orly-Snowcone-Comparisons-7572261 ) . This colour is really opaque the nail pedicurist only applied one layer of colour for me!

Happy toes day =D

夏祭り (Natsu Matsuri) - Summer Festival 2010

Ri-chan invited me to go this year's 夏祭り with her last Saturday 22nd Aug at Japanese Primary School [=^.^=]  She even lent me her 浴衣(Yukata) to wear! It was my 2nd time going there, the 1st time was in secondary school days when I was still learning Japanese at MOE's 3rd language centre.

So of course I had to doll up a bit ^.^ \
(But this is acutally the end of day pic, so it's kind of not so fresh makeup you know what i mean =X)
Eye makeup includes:
★ 1-Day Acuvue Define in Brown
★Bobbi Brown Corrector & Concealor
★ Dolly Wink in No.002 Sweet Girly
★Majolica Majorca Brown eyeshadow palette
★Coffret D'or Liquid eyeliner BK-28
★Sephora Eyebrown mascara

Ri-chan & her friend Pearly-chan!

The place where we hand over our tickets and get into the event!

Ri-chan and her long awaited An-pan man mask!

Atashi (me) in Ri-chan's Yukata! <3

The various stalls for the event.

Ri-chan is wearing her Jinbei, and I love her scrunchy!

Another group of Ri-chan's tomodachi (friends).

Her friend's sweets.... yums!

This is the stage where all the performances/dances are held.

Very cute Japanese kids!!!

The little boy is enjoying his last bits of candy floss!

We have the same initials in our real names... PQ ~ ;)

And my eyes are really small... Doushite! Why! I really need to learn the big eyes make up technique. =(

The queue for Asahi Beer and drinks. Isn't it cute that they have people holding signs to tell you where is the end of the queue?

Cute and Enthusiatic Jap Guy(uncle?) posing for my Cam! Lol.

I wanted badly to try the fortune telling but it was a freaking $15.00 so I gave up the idea. =(

My drink! Gassyyyyy....... burps.

Calpico! Tastes like Yakult! And I realised it's available in Tampines One 's Japanese Market but it is not very cheap.

This SuperCup Choco Cookie Meiji ice-cream is only for $2 and tastes oiishi! Yummys! Can taste cookie bits in it. N is a large cup serving.

Going home already, Ri-chan helped me take a photo of my back.

Tada... I had an enjoyable time! I hope to buy my own Jap costumes next time! Thank you Ri-chan!

And Ri-chan gave me this . Wasabi Kit-Kat. Was too delicious I gobbled it up before I remembered to take a picture of it! Lol. It's light green kit-kat inside.

Presents!

Been wanting to post this.... my good friend Amilia gave me a pair of black boots bought from Australia. This is my second pair of boots (not including those wore when I was a child) I ever owned! The 1st pair of boots was a similar pair in brown bought in HongKong, but it was tad a bit too small and hurt a lot when I walked.
So this time round the boots are one size bigger than my actual feet size.

Love them!

My Outfit of the Day.

But I have not worn the boots out yet, will wear when I have the chance!!! And Amilia's boyfriend ZX wanted to surprise her by buying the Velcro hair pads that I posted previously for her and her friends. So I helped him to send out the items along with my presents for my dear friend.

Moisurising masks, TFS fake eyelash, Kate's Pink Blush and Overall from The Japanese Fashion Street.

Continue to Ganbatte Kudasai for ur studies ne Amilia-chan!

XOXO,
Harumipq

P.S. Just attended Natsu Matsuri (Japan Summer Festival) on 22nd Aug with Ri-chan. Will update soon!

Poupee Girl + Marina Barrage

Been wanting to post stuff but am just too tired n occupied.... >.< One of the stuff I am so occupied with is playing Poupee Girl ! On the left side of my blog, scroll down and you can see my self-created poupee girl of the day. Click back and you can see previous days of my doll in different styles. I know this website has been around for quite long but I just got to playing this recently only.

Poupee Girl is a fashion community where you can dress up your doll, earn ribbons (the currency used in the Poupee community), buy and sell fashion items for the doll. One of a way to earn ribbons is to post photos of your own fashion items like clothes, cosmetics, accessories, skincare, decorated mobiles & gadgets. No face is allowed in the pictures.

Screenshot of my Poupee Girl's homepage.

At first I was addicted to the Poupee Girl Market where other users sell their unwanted items. I could sit in front of the computer for half a day just to keep refreshing the Market page to buy cheap and nice items to sell so that I can earn more ribbons!

Reason for saving so much ribbons is because there are items selling in a shop opened by Poupee Girl Katherine that are pretty and exquisite, not available in the market. I've read online that items bought from Katherine's shop can only be sold 5 months and 1 day later. Even if it's for sale on market already, prices of some items like Yukata would be marked up than it's original price.

But after some time of playing I am not so addicted to it now, I just try to log in daily and change clothes for my Poupee Girl and earn some ribbons. The Poupee effect will die off after some time, just like with the games on Facebook. Haha.....

Last Sunday I went to Marina Barrage for the 1st time with bf and good friend (Hey Amilia! =P) 's bf ZX .I didn't realise the grass patch I see people flying kite on was built at the Marina Barrage building on level 3. And my bf laughed at me when I asked him where is the big grass patch, why are we taking a lift on this building! We didn't fly kite as we didn't buy any in the end (they told me there was a shop selling kites at Barrage but I didn't manage to find). We went there for a picnic and had a short session with ZX on
learning how to use the dSLR.

Photos:

Look at the Doraemon kite!!! The soles of Doraemon flaps up and down in the air... Cute!!!

It was very windy there, this pretty rainbow umbrella ZX lend me was spoiled by the huge wind as it overturned the umbrella causing the joints to be detached. It belongs to ZX's grandpa... I'm so sorry! =(

I <3 the pretty blue sky
